I’m also writing short stories these days! All of these stories will be based off of my artwork. This one is based off of Razor’s Edge.
I stared at the derelict on the screen, unable to fully comprehend what I was looking at. Something ancient beyond any human understanding. Perhaps as old as the universe itself. But was it a station? A warship? Something else? I did not know.

I created a new character, who’s mostly finished. Here’s the result!
I worked a lot with medieval Indian, Mughal, and Sikh references to design this armor set as a mix of Indian inspired fantasy and sci-fi (as you can see with the emissive armor and the spinal mount). I haven’t quite named the character yet, but that’ll be coming soon.

I started doing some random art pieces lately (more on that in a separate post). An art group I’m a part of was doing pieces involving dogs, so I created my take on it:
This was a speed modeling challenge (I spent around 10 hours in total on this), and I was also hoping to get into the zone for a new project I’m spinning up. I’ve also been experimenting with Maya fluids simulations for things like explosions, jet exhausts, fire, and dust as well.

So the speed modeling piece is progressing! Here’s what we are at:
I’ve added some more details and am experimenting with lighting. The background will likely be changed, of sure. For some reason, the render has glitched slightly, resulting in that white spot in the bottom right corner.
I will continue to make more progress on this and hope to finish it in the next two to three days. Next is going to be adding potentially one more detail to the wall itself.
